NAME OF A BOOK
NAME OF AN AUTHOR
STATUS/REMARK
1.
1Q84 [TRYLOGY]
Haruki Murakami
I loved reading this book. However, I felt the ending was rushed.

2.
Ghamkiri
Nayan Raj Pandey
Even with all its understanding on globalization, consumerism and capitalism it was a difficult reading.

3.
South of the Border, West of the Sun
Haruki Murakami
Fantasy included as it is always in Murakami’s writing. Though made me think about things. It didn’t put any impression for long.

4.
The Tiger Rising
Kate DiCamillo
Nice story of growing up.

5.
The Complete Collected Poems
Maya Angelou
Very inspiring poems of everything and anything.
Loved reading her.

6.
Elephant Moon
John Sweeney
I enjoyed reading it since it had about teaching and war, some love story to feel good about. Still, not much of a good utilization of my time.

7.
Kafka on the Shore
Haruki Murakami
I was intrigued by the story. It has Murakami’s style all over it. However, the incest did put me off.

8.
East of the Sun
Julia Gregson
Had started reading when I was in Sri Lanka. Had found interesting for some reason (could be due to holiday!). When I read it whole, I enjoyed but not full utilization of my time.

9.
Flora & Ulysses
Kate DiCamillo
Made me laugh and enjoy the story of a squirrel hero.

10.
Sophie’s World
Jostein Gaarder
7th time?
Always mind blowing read.

11.
An Autography : The Experience with my Experiments with Truth
M.K Gandhi
First time read the so called an ‘autography’.
I must say I enjoyed reading it though at times I did doze off.

12.
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
Kate DiCamillo
3rd time?
My favourite from DiCamillo.

13.
The Magician’s Elephant
Kate DiCamillo
Interesting one.

14.
The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
I don’t remember how many times it has been.

15.
The Pickup
Nadine Gordimer
December 2014
It has booked itself on my ‘FAVOURITE BOOKS’ list.
Thoroughly enjoyed the writing, characterization, story and everything.

16.
The Conservationist
Nadine Gordimer
No clue: longest struggle.
February 2015

17.
The Fault in Our Stars
John Green
February 2015
Teenage romance. I felt too old to dwell on such reading. But, I would say ‘not bad’ though for me ‘waste of time’.

18.
Taruni Kheti
Sarubhakta
February 2015
My first reaction was to berate myself for being so naïve on Nepali literature. I found myself arrogant and stupid for not being able to see this treasure.
I practically worship Sarubhakta for this awesome book.

19.
Gone Girl
Gillian Flynn
February 2015
Awesome book for time pass. The suspense, the thriller and the twisted psychology of characters.
It was a good read. Interesting gift for your friends.

20.
The Last Time As We Are
Taylor Mali
04/03/2015
Loved his poems, not all of them.
But, no doubt very inspiring one.

21.
The Tale of Despereaux
Kate DiCamillo
06/03/2015
Good story for children. Loved it, anyway.

22.
Men Without Women
Ernest Hemingway
15/03/2015
Good short stories. Good for familiarizing oneself with Hemingway.

23.
Snows of Kilimanjaro and Other Stories
Ernest Hemingway
20/03/2015
Each and every stories have a great way of hooking you to it.
Earnest Hemingway is, currently, my inspiration.

24.
True at First Light: A Fictional Memoir
Ernest Hemingway
26/03/2015
25.
Sacred Mountain
Robert Ferguson
Just started reading (26/03/2015)
First impression is that the writing is bumpy and gives off an impression of amateur writing. I thought it was published ages ago.
(makes me scared of my writing)
09/04/2015
I am happy to report that I enjoyed it. It is a good book. But, minor spelling, grammar mistakes are very irritating.
26.
And The Mountains Echoed
Khaled Hosseini
10/04/2015
It looks promising. I am enjoying for now. But, Hosseini’s formula for tears had put me off from his writing of ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’.
